Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 29, 2026
Veysentra is owned and operated by sole proprietor Doner Shakirov.
This Privacy Policy explains how Veysentra collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Veysentra personal-safety application and related services.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, authentication information, and basic account identifiers needed to create and secure your account.
- Trusted-contact information: names, contact identifiers, and phone numbers you select from your device. Contact selection is used to configure personal-safety alerts.
- Location information: precise location may be requested when you test location features, activate an alert, or use a safety journey. Location may be included in an alert link sent to trusted contacts.
- Safety alert information: alert identifiers, time, status, number of recipients, provider delivery identifiers, and cancellation or completion state. Recent alert history may also be stored locally on your device.
- Permissions and device capabilities: contacts, microphone, speech recognition, notifications, and location access when you choose to enable the related features.
- Support information: information you provide when contacting support.
How we use information
We use information only as needed to provide and secure the service, authenticate accounts, manage trusted contacts, listen for an enabled emergency phrase, operate countdowns and safety checks, create alert history, send requested safety alerts, diagnose failures, prevent duplicate or abusive requests, and respond to support or privacy requests.
Emergency SMS and location sharing
When automatic emergency SMS is enabled and an alert countdown finishes without cancellation, Veysentra sends the trusted-contact phone numbers, alert text, and any attached location link to our secure Firebase backend. The backend uses Twilio to attempt delivery. Trusted contacts must agree to receive these messages. Message frequency varies based on safety events. Message and data rates may apply.
Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers and SMS consent records are used only to provide safety messaging, manage opt-in and opt-out requests, prevent abuse, comply with law, and support message delivery.
When we share information
We share only what is necessary with service providers that help operate Veysentra, including Google Firebase for authentication and secure backend processing, Apple for app distribution and device services, and Twilio and mobile carriers for SMS delivery. An alert’s text and location link are shared with the trusted contacts selected for that alert. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
On-device processing
Where practical, Veysentra uses device capabilities for contact selection, speech recognition, permission handling, and local alert history. Apple’s speech-recognition services may process audio or speech data according to Apple’s settings and policies. Veysentra does not use microphone access to sell advertising data.
Retention
We keep account and backend safety-event records only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations for the service. Provider delivery records may be retained by Twilio and carriers under their own policies. Local alert history remains on the device until removed by the user, the app, or device storage processes. Deleting your account from Settings removes your Veysentra account, profile, trusted-contact consent and invitation records, backend alert-delivery records, and locally stored app preferences.
Your choices and rights
You can control app permissions in iOS Settings, change trusted contacts, disable voice protection or automatic SMS, cancel an alert during its countdown, and permanently delete your account from Veysentra Settings. You may also request access to or deletion of account-related information by contacting us. A trusted contact can opt out of Veysentra SMS by replying STOP. For help, reply HELP or contact us.
Security
We use authentication, encrypted transport, restricted backend credentials, request validation, duplicate prevention, and access controls designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and Veysentra cannot guarantee that a message, connection, location update, or service will always be available.
Children
Veysentra is not directed to children under 13 for independent account creation. A parent or legal guardian should supervise use by a child and the selection of trusted contacts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization.
International use
Veysentra currently uses services operated in the United States. If you use the app elsewhere, information may be processed in countries with different data-protection laws. Emergency numbers, SMS capabilities, and legal requirements vary by location.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post a revised effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. Questions, deletion requests, or privacy concerns can be sent to veysentrasupport@gmail.com.
